Twanna Hodge, and I have organized another BIPOC in LIS Mental Health Summit: Exploring the Healing Role of Somatic Experiencing. This second part of our earlier event with Xan also includes yoga practice led by Kelsa Bartley, and will take place on February 27 at 12P EST.

This event will offer space and community for BIPOC library employees to learn more about Somatic Experiencing and the benefits of intentional practice as a countermeasure for reduced morale, weathering associated with EDIA labor, and/or burnout/fatigue connected to social justice labor.

This is another opportunity for attendees to engage in activities for reflection and reconnection to body. Resources will  also be shared  for further learning and inquiry.

This event is a Brave Space for BIPOC; registration is free.
